Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.

His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.

Dear W.E. and family, I have just heard of your father's passing and want you to know my thoughts will be with you in the days to come. (My own mother passed away in March just before turning 89) I send my sincere sympathy for this loss in your family. Although I did not know your father well, I remember feeling some strong admiration for him. Bless you all in this time. Susan Shirey

W.E. and family, So sorry for your loss. You were si blessed to have your dad for so long. I lost mine when I was still in my twenties. Our dads were both Scout leaders and if, memory serves, they both attended the same Wood Badge training. Our prayers are with you.
