

William A. "Dub" Nash, IV, died on February 20, 2009, at the age of 47 after a long and valiant battle with ALS. He was born on July 15, 1961 in New York City to Margaret Sue Peace and William A. "Dub" Nash, III.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Holly Nash; great-aunt, Pliny Collins; and father.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 23 years, Nancy and his precious and inspiring children, William A "Will" Nash V and Elizabeth Grace "Eliza" Nash. He is also survived by his mother; grandmother, Mrs. John Peace; aunt, Martha Peace; brothers: Elliot Nash and wife, Lisa, Benjamin Thomas and wife, Leah, and Joshua Thomas; sister, Rachel Fessler and husband, Mark; father-in-law, Jerome K. Harris and wife, Susan; sister-in-law, Laurie Harris, Marjory Morgan and husband, Ken; and brother-in-law, Jerry Harris III. In addition he had a large extended family and numerous treasured friends.
Dub graduated from UTSA in 1984 and played for their inaugural tennis team.
He had a career in finance and real estate where he worked for Commerce Savings Association and Reitmeyer Investment Company.
Dub was a practical and earnest man who lived his life with integrity above all else. His courage and determination in the last 13 years, as he faced ALS, was an inspiration to all who knew him.
His loyalty, wisdom and gracious heart will be missed by all who loved him. The family would like to thank everyone at Vitas for all of their kindness and support.
