Dr Peche was my doctor in the 1970’s and 1980’s.  When I experienced my miscarriage, Dr Peche was very concerned and compassionate with me. He went out of his way to care for me during this difficult time of my life. I’ll always remember Dr Peche.

He was the sweetest Dr deliver my daughter 1975.

I just heard about Dr. Peche today, I'm deeply saddened to hear about his passing. He was such an amazing Dr to me.He delivered all five of my kids. I still remember that one day i was in labor with my second child and he walked in telling me, shhh...why are you sreaming? and i said "cause I'm in pain,and he told me,well you got yourself into this.😄 after that i tried not to scream. He will truly be missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

I have been thinking of him lately and decided to check up on him and found this. So saddened! He was my Dr.for 33 years starting at the Nix bldg until i moved in 2007. Great Doctor! Could call on him for anything. He loved his family. Every visit started with or ended with a hug. Loved him to pieces. What a GREAT MAN

I am so sad to find out about Dr. Peche's passing. I last saw him in 2012 and noticed he looked different than all the other times I had seen him; next thing I know I am receiving a notice that he was closing his practice a few weeks later. I figured he was retiring perhaps to rest but benownst to me today I find his obituary. 
To his family, I just want to remind you of what a wonderful, husband, father, relative you had as Dr. Peche was the most caring person I ever had the opportunity of meeting. He was my doctor since back in the '85 when one of his unit clerk staff recommend him to me. 
I know it's been since October 2012 of his passing but rest assure he is in heaven with our almighty father whom has been caring for him since he took him home. 
May God always watch over each of you and give you the peace you need until you are home with Dr. Peche.

I just learned of Dr. Peche's passing. My deepest condolensces for his family. Dr. Peche was a great Doctor. He deliverd my two older babies, and I was his patient for my third when I learned he was closing his practice. She was born in Nov. 2012. I was in San Antonio and saw Ann Miller for my yearly appointment. I was shocked and saddened by the news of Dr. Peche's passing. He was such a kind and loving doctor - he always had a hug for me when I came in. I know he is missed by many. y.

I've known Dr.Peche since I was 15 years old I'm now 51 years old.. He was so nice and caring... My mom was his patient that's how I met him, my mom is now 71 years old. I had hoped you would pull through and I wouldn't be here writing this to you. A patient of yours for over 30 years and not once did you ever complain, we shared our stores about our families, how you adored your staff and I adored them, we shared the same faith and prayed together at times. You were my confidant and prayed for me when I needed it the most. I learned of your passing today from Father Mike and what better person to have heard it from and so glad he was with you in your final moments. I will miss your smile, your hugs, your honesty and our deep conversations about life's lessons. Truly a genuine human being first, and as I read through each of these heartfelt messages it brought a smile and comfort knowing that indeed you were a remarkable human being that showed compassion and care to everyone you came in contact with. I just now today, learned of Dr. Peche's passing. I wish to express my sincere and deepest sympathy to his family. He delivered two of my daughters Olivia and Abby now ages 23 and 18. He also performed a much needed delicate surgery on my oldest daughter Sara two years ago. For this and for so much more we will be eternally grateful. I received a letter telling of Dr. Peche's retirement and was looking for an address to send him a card. Somehow I had a feeling something had happened to cause him to retire. I was one of Dr Peche's patients for 15 years. He delivered both of my children and gave me great professional and loving care. I have been a patient of Dr. Peche since I was 19 yrs old & now i just turned 60....he saved my life....literally....three times during our all too brief friendship. I will never forget when I woke up at 2am in Baptist Hospital to see him sitting on the end of my bed. He looked very worried & very tired...when I smiled & asked him why he was there, he said "this is where I need to be to be sure you are going to be ok." i replied..." of course I'm going to be ok, you're my doctor!" I didn't find out till I went for a followup at his office 5 days after he put me in Baptist that he really thought there was a real chance I could have died; not till he told me he had prayed a lot because he was out of his element while treating me for sepsis. He did that for ME solely because I told him I would not let anyone else treat me...if not him, then I would just go on home & take my chances. He gave me antibiotic steroids by i.v., sometimes two bags at a time to try to find something to kill the infection that had blown back into my bloodstream from a " simple " kidney infection. I had no pcp, no job and no insurance. He knew that when he agreed to treat me and when all was said and done, he wouldn't take a dime or his services, talked a few other doctors into not billing me and told me if he could, he would talk to t hospital into writing off their bill also. The comment in his obit that said he had a way of making one feel important is a VERY large under statement to say the least! I wanted to share this experience with his wife & children because I know he never told you on his own, he was very modest, I know. Everytime I told him how very much I loved & appreciated him for his brilliant doctoring and kindness, it embarssed him. However, I think the family deserves to know these things and I hope eventually you will smile when you read this story. I hope it warms your hearts as much as he warmed mine for the last 41 years! He was kind, considerate, funny and most of all, caring. He WILL be missed, there will never be another Dr. I could trust as much as I did Dr. Peche. May God help each of you heal from this great loss and just remember, we will see him again when God takes us. For now, we have to just remember Dr. Peche for the great man he was & be happy that he is in a place far better place than we are 
now. He spoke of his family often & was very proud of all of you and if his kids are half the person their father was, he left the world in a better place than he found it! God bless you & wrap you in His arms during this trying time...thanks for sharing him with us, I will never forget him!

I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Peche's passing; yet I find great peace in knowing he is having a joyous time with our Lord and Savior! Dr. Peche was my doctor for more than 40 years; in fact, he was my favorite -- and the best -- health care provider. He was so loving ... so gentle ... so kind ... so supportive. He delivered my first-born, a beautiful daughter named Valerie. I looked forward to my annual check-ups because Dr. Peche always took time to ask about my family, and I his. I went to Dr. Peche at the age of 20. It was the first time I had been to a Gynecologist, he recognized that I was terrified..he calmed me and made me feel at ease, that was 2 children and 38 years ago..I will miss him dearly. He was the the best. God's peace to the Peche family.

I send my heartfelt sympathy to the family of Dr. Peche. I first became his patient 38 years ago. He delivered my 3 children and my grandaughter. He was the most caring physician I have ever known. With my 2nd child I no longer had insurance and my husband had gotten into a bad wreck. Dr. Peche told me to concentrate on paying the hospital and I could catch up with his fee when I was financially able to. Many years later he delivered my grandaughter and convinced her mom to go back to school and get her degree. Thanks to him she will graduate from St. Mary's University this fall. His compassion,faith,sense of humor, and skill were blessings to so many. May God be with his family and staff at this time.

I was Dr. Peche's patient around 25 years ago. To this day, I still speak of him with great respect and appreciation. I was at the end of my rope having been to three other doctors who could not figure out why I was suffering with the symptoms I had. Asking him for a recommendation for a specialist, Dr. Peche patiently and attentively listened to my concerns, redirected from where the other doctors were sending me, and HE was the one who helped me. I believe without his knowledge on how to treat my condition, I would have endured many more years of pain and suffering and, most importantly, I would not have my three beautiful girls. II was one of Dr. peches' first patients. My first pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage. my husband and I wre concerned that I might be too old to try again. Dr. Peche assured us that the age factor was an old wives tale. He told us That I could have a successful pregnancy if we wanted to wait awhile. on Easter Sunday 1972 I was suffering labor pains that day, but that evening Johanna was born, a truly beautiful baby girl! Dr. Peche encouraged us to try again if we washed. I became pregnant and on February 3, 1975, Ihad a beautiful baby boy we namedJames! Dr. Peche we know made many families happy such as ours. we will also miss him sorely both as a doctor and as a friend. My heart sunk when my father told me that Dr. Peche passed. He helped bring my three wonderful children into the world. He was such a honest, caring, warm hearted, and loving person. Dr. Peche was a very great doctor who took time with each of his patients...he made you feel very comfrotable. I met Dr Peche when I was a 3rd year medical student and he was on his last year of ob-gyn residency in 1969. He was a TERRIFIC role model who helped me decide to go into ob-gyn. He was a great Dr and a great person.

Dr. Peche had the best bedside manner. As a young girl who worked at the nearby phone company office I was referred to him. Once I married he included my husband in all my major medical moments including the birth of our two girls.God blessed us with him.

To the family, thanks for sharing Dr. Peche with us and know that he made a HUGE impact in this world to so many people! Thanks for giving so much to all of us!

In 1998, Dr. Peche was recommended to me. I had not been to an OBGYN doctor in many years. I could not find a doctor who would take me as a new patient. When I called his office they set up an appointment for me. However when Dr. Peche found out what my problem was, he had Ann call me back & he wanted me in the office in 
one hour. He was so wonderful & calmed me down. When my husband, a Police Officer, was killed in 2010, Dr. Peche was so kind to me. He took the time to look at the autopsy report and tell me what he thought. He was just that kind of a man. If ALL doctors even had one-half of his bedside manner, it would be a wonderful world. My sincere condolences to his family. May God Bless each one of you and be with you at this time.

I was so blessed to have had 
Dr.Peche as my physician for the last 42 years. He was such a caring person and always took the time to listen to you. He will be greatly missed. My sincerest sympathy to his family.

I first met Dr. Peche in 1973 when I started my nursing school surgery rotation. He was so kind and helpful to the nursing students. That kindness to nurses never changed and our lives are diminished by his loss. We at Alamo Hgts Surgery Center miss him a great deal. But our loss is heavens gain as a "great physician" is now in the company of the "Great Physician". My prayers are with his family in their grief.

I was deeply saddened by the news of Dr. Peche's passing. 
I was his patient for over 20 years and can truly say that he was superbly unique in his professional demeanor, his sincere warmth and truly caring nature. His family, the medical profession and the San Antonio community have lost not only a wonderful man but a highly capable, competent and irreplaceable one- my condolences to his family and to Ann who, together with Dr. Peche, provided me with genuinely sincere and loving professional care for many years. May God bless you and comfort you in your loss.

I will Miss working with you on Fridays at the Surgery Center. Will miss your warm and fun personality at our yearly company Christmas parties. You will greatly be missed. My sincere condolences to your family.

I will miss my Monday's and Thursday's, but most of all I will miss Dr. Peche's soothing touch. No matter how ill his got as late as Monday 10/8 he always ask how I was feeling. Thank You for being my Dr. for the last 27 years.

I'm thankful for the time we had Dr. Peche, here on this earth. He was a very good physician; delivered both my girls. He did make everyone feel better. I will miss him. God bless and keep the family during this time.

I was extremely lucky to be referred to Dr. Peche 17 years ago when I was new to San Antonio and discovered I was pregnant. Not only did he deliver my 2 sons but took great interest in my care for many years. He was so great in dealing with my care, I did not mind when he would get onto me for not taking care of myself. I will miss him dearly. My prayers are with his family.

My doctor for many years, Dr. Peche was always caring and compassionate. He listened to my concerns and knew what would work best for me in my life, helping me have two beautiful daughters. God's blessing and peace be with you.
