William A. Pete Peterson

He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Pete established Peterson Brothers Wholesale Nursery in 1965. It is still family owned and operated. One of his main hobbies was restoring antique cars. He was a member of the Model T Club (MTFC INT'L) and Bexar Touring Club (VMCCA). He and Mrs. Peterson traveled extensively. He received numerous awards related to his nursery business. Pete will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Vaughan, Betty Peterson, Dorothy Sakshaug; and brothers, Henry, James, and Herbert Peterson.

Pete is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marlene L. Peterson; son, Rodney A. Peterson and wife Rebecca; daughter, Linda Henning and husband Timothy; grandchildren, April Risinger (Aaron), Robin Heyen (Shane) and Melissa Peterson; four great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Peterson (BeBe); sister, Shirley Zent; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The service will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. in the Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel.
