

William W. Schuler, age 79, of San Antonio, died Friday, May 7, 2010. He was born in Larksville, PA. He worked his way through college at Bethlehem Steel and was a graduate of Lehigh University. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the USAF and settled in San Antonio after discharge. He had careers in real estate and construction. Upon retirement, he worked for HEB at Nacogdoches and North New Braunfels providing customer service for ten years. He is survived by his sister, Doris Schuler Vespro, of New York; two sons, Joe R. Garcia III, of New York and Roland P. Schuler III, of San Antonio. "Bill" as his friends and customers knew him, touched the lives of everyone he met. He had a quick wit and endearing sense of humor that left an indelible impression which will never be forgotten. He was a caring and loving father, friend and mentor to many. The family would like to thank the staff of San Pedro Manor, Odyssey Hospice and Bill's friends for their love and support. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
