He served his country in WW2 as a Second LT. in the US Marine Corps. Graduated Texas A&M with petroleum engineering degree. He volunteered as docent with Institute of Texan Cultures. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. He went on christian mission trips with St.Lukes Episcopal Church. He was a member of toastmasters and also sang with the Beethoven Mannerchor. He is survived by his daughter Jan Wahrmund Ligon and his son Kurt Wahrmund. Granddaughter Heather Ligon Schmidt & husband Keith Schmidt, great grandsons Corbin, Hadley, Harper and Gavin Schmidt. Grandson Mills Ligon & wife Jennifer Ligon, great grandsons Knox and Porter Ligon. Grandson Kris Clinkscales, Grandson Chandler Wahrmund and Granddaughter Tamara Wahrmund.
He never knew a stranger.
