

Willie Kramer Jr., born to Willie and Mary (Kolafa) Kramer on December 9, 1926 in East Bernard, Texas, went to the Lord on January 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Elsie (Sralla) Kramer, and Daughters Cynthia Knippa and Linda Hill. Willie is survived by his son Willie Kramer III and wife Janice of Boerne, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He graduated in 1944 from Jefferson High School in San Antonio, sailed as a Midshipman with the Merchant Marines during WWII while attending Texas A&M College where he graduated in 1949. Following graduation from A&M he began his work career with Humble Oil Co. as field accountant working in the oil fields of South Texas. He went to work for the Zale Corporation in San Antonio as office manager in 1951. His career with the Zale Corporation lasted 35 years where he won numerous awards including man of the year in 1969 as manager of Zale’s Jewelry in North Star Mall. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church for 56 years where he served on the board of elders for many years in addition to several other boards and committees. He was a lifetime member of Aggie Park and the San Antonio A&M Club. The family would like to express their thanks to Manor Care North and Heartland Hospice for his excellent care. Visitation will be on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 6-9pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas, 78218. A funeral service will take place at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 10am with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the building fund of Concordia Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas or the charity of their choice.
