

Xavier E. DeHoyos, a devoted husband, father, and ordained minister, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 63. Surrounded by his loving family, Xavier’s final moments were filled with the same warmth, faith, and support that he so generously shared throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Diane DeHoyos, and their cherished children: daughter Amanda Leah Simmons and her husband Josh Simmons, and son Brandon Isaac DeHoyos. He is also mourned by his brother Daniel DeHoyos, sister Leticia (Tish) Rawe and her husband Cliff Rawe. The deep bonds he nurtured within his family stand as a lasting testament to his love and character.
Xavier dedicated his life to serving both his community and his faith. As an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene, he lived his calling with conviction, compassion, and humility. He was actively pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry at Trevecca Nazarene University, and was just weeks away from graduating in August 2025—a milestone that symbolized his unwavering commitment to growth and service.
In his role as pastor at The Crossings Church of the Nazarene in San Antonio, Xavier inspired many through his steady faith, gentle spirit, and tireless devotion to his church family. His deep love for the Lord was evident in every interaction, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him.
Xavier’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the values he upheld, and the love he instilled in those around him. Though his journey on Earth has ended, the spiritual guidance and faith he shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of many for years to come.
