

He was in the U.S. Army and he was employed at J&J World at BAMC. Xavier was a member of the American Legion Post 592 and The Forty and Eight Veterans Organization. He was active with several fundraisers and was a chairman for all. Xavier was very family oriented, he enjoyed family gatherings, was very giving and loving father and grandfather. Xavier loved reading Tom Clancy books and was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Spurs fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria De Jesus Lopez; father, Tobias Castro Perales; sister, Anna Maria Perales-Lopez; brothers, Jose (Pepe) Perales and Antonio Perales and four granddaughters.
Xavier is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ermalinda Perales; his children, Javier/Veronica Perales, Jr., Erika Perales, Elaine and Santiago Solis; the mother to his children, Delfina Quintanilla; children, Rosemary/David Anguiano, Joe De Leon, Jr., Anthony/Patty De Leon, Fernando G. De Leon, Terry/Fernando Lopez, Janie De Leon, Noa N. De Leon and Lucy/Eddie Hernandez; sisters, Maria Guerra, Maria/Neo Garcia and Carmen Perales; brothers, Jamie Perales, Joe Perales (Mary); sisters-in-laws, Angie Jalomo, Aurora Ibarra and Anita Ramirez; brothers-in-law, Alex/Lydia Ramirez, Andres/Rosie Ramirez and numerous nieces and nephews. Xavier has 41 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Rivercity Hospice, Auxiliary Ladies from Alamo Post 2 American Legion and all the employees of J.J World for their support.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough Ave.
