

Zada V. Bartee, age 84, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Town and Country Manor Nursing Home, 625 North Main Street, Boerne, Texas 78006.
Zada graduated from Eagle Pass High School and attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. During World War II, she was a Civil Service worker at Kelly AFB, and she enjoyed working in Human Resources.
Following this early career, she then "retired" to travel with her Air Force husband, and spend her remaining years serving as faithful housewife and wonderful mother. Since the forties, she has claimed San Antonio as her home, but has lived overseas in Germany and Okinawa, and in other states such as New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
At present, she has resided in San Antonio since 1973. For most of her life, she taught children's Sunday School, and this gave her great joy.
She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters, respectively; Raymond Stewart, Cleve Stewart, Leeman Stewart, Clyde Stewart, Worth Stewart, Marie Stewart Brown, Christine Stewart Paul and J.W. Stewart. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William R. Bartee; daughter, Sally Comfort and husband, Jerry; grandson, Cole Bartee Comfort; and numerous nieces and nephews.
