

On November 6, 2016 Zeta Lee Rice Stewart went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in San Antonio, TX. On September 27, 1922 in Crum Creek, Oklahoma was born Zeta Lee Rice, daughter of Everett M. Rice and Verna Frances Goldman Rice. Mrs. Stewart was a faithful wife, and friend to Woodrow W. Stewart of 65 years. The two were married on June 11, 1942 in San Antonio, TX. She was a loving, dedicated mother to Laurie W. Stewart and James S. Stewart who were graciously adopted by the couple from The Children's Aid Society of Ogden, an orphanage located in Weber County just outside of Ogden City. Zeta lived her life in selfless service to family, friends, neighbors, and anyone she came in contact with. She never met a stranger. She is loved by all who knew her. She will be missed. Arrangements under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX. Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by her husband, Sergeant Major Woodrow W. Stewart (US Army Retired) and son, James Stanley Stewart. She is survived by one son, Laurie W. Stewart of Wichita Falls- TX, one daughter-in-law, Petra Stewart of San Antonio- TX, seven grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mrs. Stewart will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 9am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with a reception immediately to follow at Sunset Funeral Home.
