Antonio Delgado Torrez was born January 17th, 1930, in Los Angeles California to Valente & Francisca Torrez. He was the youngest of 7 children. Antonio lived the early years of his life in Villa Ahumada & Juarez Mexico.
In 1949, at the young age of 19, he married Victoria Trinidad Flores in New Mexico. Together they had 6 children: Armando, Blanca, Adela, Valente, Eva & Christina. In the very early 60’s he moved his family to Southern California. Antonio was an avid union advocate/organizer and worked as an upholsterer at Kroehler Furniture Company for 17 years. In 1979 he moved his family to San Bernardino where he would make a home where he resided until he passed away on February 2nd, 2022. Antonio worked as an Assembly & Test Technician for CrissAir in Palmdale California from where he retired.
Antonio is survived by 5 children, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, his sister Natividad Bermudez, Sons-in-law Jose Morales & Arnoldo Rios, Daughter-in-law Maribel Torrez, and his widow Margarita Salinas-Gaspar.
Antonio was an extremely hard-working man, devoted to raising his large family. Antonio enjoyed spending his time in his backyard, listening to music, tending to his many plants/succulents, turtles, and fruit trees. He was extremely drawn to vibrant colors and wild knickknacks. All of Antonio’s loved ones enjoyed listening to his many stories about life back in Juarez and growing up while raising his family.
It's with heavy hearts that we lay Antonio to rest on March 15th, 2022, at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery in San Bernardino where he will join his late wife Victoria Trinidad Torrez at their forever resting place.
