Brenda Joyce Terrell-Cross

Brenda is survived by her husband Eric Cross, Sister Lynda Rhodes, Brother Marcus Floyd and her two sons Herbert Terrell Jr. & Corrie Terrell. She also leaves behind six grandchildren Cory Terrell Jr., Ciara Terrell, Kian Terrell, Caleb Terrell, Leora Terrell and Donovan Terrell.

Brenda was born to Bernice & Walter Floyd on June 4, 1952 in Corpus Christi, TX. She was the 2nd oldest out of 7 kids. She excelled in school and Graduated from Moody High School in 1971. Shortly after graduation she married her first husband and had her first child Herbert Terrell Jr. That same year they moved away to Wichita, KS as her husband Herbert was in the Air Force and eventually settled in Fontana, CA after he was transferred to Norton AFB in San Bernardino. Now living in Inland Empire she had her 2nd Child Corrie and started her career in Nursing. She became an LVN and started working at San Bernardino Community Hospital & San Bernardino County Hospital as well. Brenda was a hard worker and often worked double shifts at both hospitals to pay the bills while taking 1 class at a time to get her RN. While in school she met her current husband Eric Cross and they went on to have her 3rd child Keeyon Cross. Brenda being the driven person she was went on to get her AA in Nursing from Victor Valley Community College in 1989 where she became an RN. She worked at SB county hospital the whole time where she worked in the Burn Unit and the SICU. She actually wasn’t done there as she went on to graduate from the University of Phoenix as a BSN and few years later she completed her Masters in Nursing. Brenda worked at San Bernardino County Hospital that is now Arrowhead Regional for 45 years.

Brenda really loved her Family and spent all her vacations visiting them in Texas even when we would tell her to go to Europe or take a cruise but she never did! She spent her time with her brothers, sisters and watching her grandchildren. She truly had the biggest heart and always made sure not only to take care of her family but to give them a life of Love! She was the most Amazing Mom ever and her light will always be remembered!

A visitation for Brenda will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404. A committal service will occur Friday, September 23, 2022 from 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404. A reception will occur Friday, September 23, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404.
