Well, this is more for me than it is for you. Grandma, I feel somehow you are getting these messages even before it leaves our mind,heart and before we press send. I guess we need to just go through these motions in order to feel that we are having some physical interaction. I was listening to the zion travelers the other day and when that part come where L.C  Sings "U-n-d-e-r  the blue sky there's a wonderful world below" I could picture my mother holding the note while pointing her finger toward heaven. Again, thanks Grandma for that precious gift. "Happy BirthDay Momma"

It has become clearer to me, over this last year, that this type of pain never goes away. It is simply diluted with time and the hope of seeing you again. I've reached numerous times for a phone to call you.  I find myself needing you still...the light that you left shining in me, flickers a bit Grandmama, in my weakness. But I promise, I won't let my tears extinguish it...Your memory, your legacy means too much. "Because He Lives, I can face tomorrow"....love you so much........

It has been a whole year as of today that you left us. It still hurts as if it was yesterday! The comfort is knowing we will see you again. The comfort that keeps me going is that when someone would pass away, you would say "death is a part of life, you have to keep on going" Mom, my hero,I love you so so much. Rest in Peace my love, you will forever be in my heart and on my mind! Muah!!!!!!!

well Momma, many family events has passed without you. Each one of the many events someone would say. "grandma or mom would have been right here hanging tough" Lil lenard's graduation and prom, Tylin's track meets, Shontell's prom and graduation, and my graduation. I know you used to say Cathy you almost done, hang in there!" The hardest day was your birthday and Mother's day. Oh how I longed to give you a big kiss and hug. I am glad of the memory of your last birthday. It was so hard to suprise you! It was a wonderful celebration and the look on your face when we yelled suprise was priceless. Missing you today and everyday.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Here I am again, I cannot stop thinking of you momma. This past Christmas hit me hard, I did not have you here telling me to put more accent on the turkey or telling me to go buy a duck. I wanted to make a banana cake and I thought I got to ask mama how to make the icing, but you are not here. When I went shopping for gifts I forgot again, and was saying to myself now what can I get mama? It is so hard for me to look at pictures of you without breaking down. I know you are saying, "girl life goes on, we cant stay hear always",you used to always say that when someone leaves us. But momma, I got to tell ya, its hard to go on. I got so many good memories of you, some I laugh and some I cry. Miss you mom!

Oh! How I miss you. There's not a day that goes by without me hearing you laughing and singing.I'm so happy in knowing that you made it to where you've worked your entire life to be and that is with the Lord, but so sad for all of us who will miss you greatly. Yet so thankful for what you have given us. We were so blessed to have you be apart of our lives. What a role model to have had. God fearing,Worthy,loyal,faithful,honest,tell it like it tiz ha!ha!,teacher,funny,graceful,loving,responsible,stern,take no mess another ha!ha! I could go on for days just simply the best. We love you and will forever live on this earth with you in our hearts and in everything we do until we meet again. Luv, Luv, Luv you.

Aunt Clora was a valiant lady in every sense of the word. I really did enjoy listening to her life experiences and events she witnessed over the years.
Her courage led her to leave behind her family in search a new life out West...California, thus blazing a trail for her family. She made this move as a very young lady with no blood relatives in California. This took some courage on her part but she said she would never do that again because she really did miss her family.

Aunt Clora and my Mom traveled to Mississippi with my sister, Ann and I.  We had a beautiful experience on this trip.  We traveled on another occasion to Mississippi and I have Aunt Clora talking on my video recorder with Dorothy Jean as we were nearing Yazoo City heading for a KFC eatery. We were riding with Uncle Chester in his 15 passenger van. Dorothy Jean and Aunt Clora had us in stitches. We  had so much fun.

Sometimes Clo Sometimes Grandma Always Amazing...I am absolutely grateful for the times God has allowed me to spend with you. There was never a dull moment and I have those memories to cherish and keep me going daily. Not a day passes that I dont hear you talking, laughing, or singing to my soul. The other day, I heard you laughing.I could hear the way you finished laughing  by saying "Ahhh" 
Also, I heard you singing too.. "God sent his son"
I'm pretty sure that you heard me on the background singing the chorus..

Aunt Clora was a beloved aunt.  She had a great sense of humor, very fiesty and had a beautiful strong voice.  I reflect on our trips to Bullhead city, Laughlin, Nevada and other camping trips we took together in our motorhome. Her fiestiness almost got us into a fight in Bullhead city.  She didn't take no mess. We all loved aunt Clora and will miss her very much. I speak for all my brothers and sisters and Dad.

Lately, my quiet moments have been spent looking back over my life. I cannot recall any major,life event without Grandmama there.  The thought of her absence is painful.  That's why I decided to carry her in my heart...so every where I am-there she is also.  And every chance I get, I will connect her memory to something tangible; so I can hold her, see her, feel her-until I can join her on the other side. Love you Grandmama...

Mrs. Clora Mae Brooks had a homegoing celebration that shared blessed moments; I'm thankful to have had these reflections of her life from the gallery of photos and to have been a part of the very special time of honoring her. May God continue to keep & bless her loved ones.

My Mother, the most beautiful loving mother a daughter could ever have. I cannot express how blessed I was to have her. I know she is with our beloved Savior. Love you Mom!
