Clyde, you made a huge difference in my life and in the lives of so many others.  You may be gone, but you are not forgotten.

Pops…Where do I start. When I 1st met you 27 years ago I took a liking to you right away ❤️ You treating me like a son and never told me no!! I will miss you, God called a real one home when he called you. Love you Pops…Save some fish and a game of golf for me. See you when I get there ❤️💯💪🏾 Your one and only son that part!!

My friend, my brother Clyde was loved by everyone whose lives he touched. We served together representing the CSEA and the Classified Employees for many years at SBVC.  Thank you Stephanie, Shanna & Erin for sharing your husband and Dad with us. A part of all of us is lost. Rest in Heaven, my friend. I know we will meet again. 

The San Bernardino Valley College Athletic Family can not begin to list the contributions he made to athletics and student services.

Most importantly his personal warmth he shared with those in need will never be forgotten.  An illness, death or a personal crisis a person might be experiencing brought  out the best in Clyde.  A timely hug, a smile or his shoulder to lean upon was his hallmark. A mans' man, period.

Clyde's support for athletics had not bounds.  He was every athletes surrogate father, advisor and friend.  He supported every single coach in their efforts to bring notoriety, respectability and honor to San Bernardino Valley College.

So my dear, dear friend, rest.  We will never forget how you led by example, sincerity, and honesty.  Now you rest.  A job well done!

Stephanie; My SistaFriend of 40 years.. Words cannot express the loss of your best friend/husband, Clyde.
He definitely Loved You, and his Daddy’s girl beautiful daughters Shanna/Erin. 
Clyde had a personality that he kept it real until you could only laugh from the truth.
He always looked out for family and friends when opportunities were available to be successful.
When it came to his Babygirl’s he use to smile because they were definitely spoil rotten but achieved Higher Learner or Blessing him with grandkids. 
Stephanie, he loved him some YOU, and the beauty of it all he knew his beautiful wife was definitely the reason why he was, “Legendary”.
Behind  every man is a good woman and You did that!!
Gone but never will be forgotten. Too many memories with plenty of laughter and laughter love..

I have known Clyde for more than 10 years while working at San Bernardino Valley College. I had a lot of fun memories working with him particularly, in organizing STEM related activities for prospective high school students. He was an encourager, advisor, and an advocate for what he believed and committed to serve students. He loved his family!

I will greatly miss his fun-loving outlook, smiles, funny stories, and laughter. My heartfelt sympathy to the family. Please know that my prayers are with you in mourning his passing away and in celebrating his life.

 I had known Clyde for roughly 25 years of my life. I remembered him being a friendly, jocular, sarcastic individual. He was deeply caring to his friends and family. Whenever you needed a favor from Clyde, he was there to help you. He would give his good friends the shirt off his back, if they needed it. I will miss his sense of humor and sports talks that we had. Let us all remember the fond memories we had of him when he lived and the smile he put across our faces. We will miss you Clyde, your memory will live on forever!

Clyde was a special person, wise in the ways of the world and an aficionado of workplace dynamics. He was a friend who made a huge difference in the direction of my life, pushing me to take chances I was initially reluctant to take. I will miss our occasional visits, the fascinating stories he told, and the good advice that he shared.  Clyde had a big personality and an even bigger heart, and he genuinely cared about his family, his friends, the students and staff at San Bernardino Valley College, and the community in general.  My sympathies go out to his family, along with my thanks to them for sharing Clyde with so many of us over the years.  Clyde was the real deal, and hopefully we can honor his memory by passing on the lessons he shared to a new generation.
