

Dr. Earl Leroy Jackson transitioned from this life on July 14, 2016 at the V.A. Hospital in Loma Linda, Ca. at the age of 64 years. Earl was surrounded by his devoted daughters, sons, grandchildren and siblings – they held to their faith as he had lived and demonstrated that no matter what life brings God is still on the throne – sharing his favorite spiritual I won't complain as prayers and praise filled the hospital corridor.
Earl was the fourth child born to his loving parents Lorraine and Ralph Jackson in Richland, Washington on November 8, 1951. The Jackson family spent several years in Richland on the family farm with their parents and grandparents Norman and Margret. In 1955 Lorraine and Ralph moved to San Bernardino.
Earl was educated in the San Bernardino school system he enjoyed great friendships and attended Delman Heights Four Square Church. He was an mature child and family oriented young man and when his grandfather called for help on their farm in Richland Earl did not hesitate to go. He worked on the farm and attended Richland High School where he tried his skills on the gridiron. In 1969 after Grandfather Normans' passing, Earl and Grandmother Margeret moved back to the family in San Bernardino. Earl was enrolled in San Bernardino High School and graduated in 1970.
Earl enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school and was deployed to Vietnam, serving his country proudly receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1972. Upon his return home he worked as a bartender and bouncer at the American Legion Post 710 where he was also an active member.
In the year of the Lord 1996 Earl responded to the call to ministry making major adjustments in life to attend Seminary – He enrolled at Community Bible Institute in 2007 and managed to complete the requirements dissertations and thesis papers to receive his Doctorate of Divinity on June 4, 2006 as the Valedictorian while continuing to work full time.
Earl was employed full time at Primeline as a Warehouse Supervisor will attending school where he stayed for fifteen years. When Primeline closed Earl's career change took him on new adventures and journey's...in 2011, he trained with CRST to become a truck driver he mastered driving eighteen wheelers and began cross-country travels as an employee with CRST and JB Hunt Trucking continuing with them until earlier this year.
Earl's life consisted of daily ministering to family, friends, and in the Ministry at Redlands Community Church where he was an Ordained Elder, He was an Instructor at Community Bible Institute and also faithfully served as that Schools Superintendent.
Earls crown of life was adorned by the brilliant lights of love from his three youngest grand-daughters who he poured into daily with hugs, kisses, teaching prayer and great movies. He was a sportsman who enjoyed watching the Lakers and 49's play. His favorite color was purple and he was a meticulous gentleman who had fine taste in clothing - hats, suits, shoes, ties and sock game was always on point.
He often started his sentences with "haloff" so today we honor the Man of God who hauled off and shared many days of laughter, life lessons and experiences with each of us. He passes the torch and leaves us a great legacy service to Christ and Family.
He leaves his beloved and cherished Daughters: Earlisha Jackson-Smith (Marquette Smith), Sharmanesha (Kirit) Edwards, d'Mekka Stewart; Son: Floyd (Bettye) Brown: Sisters: Caroline (Louis) Chapman, Loretta Muldrew, Joyce Jackson, Phyllis (Henry) Walker; Brothers: Ralph (Gail) Jackson, Myron Fair; Eight Grandchildren, one God Daughter, a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends
Earl leaves this earthly realm to eternity being reunited with his loving parents Lorraine
and Ralph, his brother Norman, his sister Marguerite Redmond...his three nephews Tony
Redman, Jason Davis and Jarrett Ojomoh.
