She was 100 years old.
Though a native of Southern New Mexico, Eva lived more than 72 years in California, most of that time living in the city of Colton. A good portion of her adult life was spent as a stay-at-home mother, where she provided support and love for all her family.
At the age of 46 Eva returned to school to earn her AA and BA in the field of education. She then worked for a short time with the Colton School District. After retirement she traveled to Europe, Mexico, Israel, Russia and Asia, as well as all over the U.S. Throughout her life she and her husband, Jose, worked hard to design and build their own home and to provide opportunities for their children, of whom they were very proud.
Eva is predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Jose Reyes Gonzales ("Pepe"), and by her daughter, Martha Samaro. She is survived by her four children, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
