Sorry for the loss of my Tia Chuey, my fondest memory is making tortillas in her kitchen when I was in high school in 1972.  My Tia was a good cook. My Tia Chuey and Tia Peggy taught me how to make tamales. I used to have fun with my cousins climbing the tree in the front yard, My Tia use to yell at us to get down from tree. She had a good smile. She will always be in my memories, till I see her again.

Back in June of 2014, I lost my mother, Carmen V. Contreras, she also was 92.  The day of her passing Chris and I notified our family.  Jessie stood over my mom and said a prayer for her,  I do not remember thanking Jessie for the prayer, but it did mean a whole to me.  Thank you Jessie. Valla con Dios.

My condolences go out to everyone who loved Jessie Arce.  She was special to everyone who knew her or had the privilege of being blessed by her presence.  I have the best memories of her.  I loved her very much and she meant so much to me.  She was the kindest, most forgiving, and most faithful soul I have ever known.  Anyone who truly knew her, would have learned from her example she set during the long life she lived.  She touched my life in so many ways…….she taught me to have faith in God, in angels, and in Saint Jude.  She shared the best stories about her life, and I cherished those moments.  She also had the best sense of humor, if she wasn’t laughing with you, she was laughing at you.  I remember how when I worked, I’d drop my son Edward off to her to watch for the day, and she’d have breakfast for me.  I remember how I dropped him off one day with hair, and I picked him up with less hair lol.  She was a kind, wise, giving and loving woman.  She didn’t say it, she showed it for everyone she cared for.  She was strong, she raised all her children and helped care for her grandkids and great grand children.  Anytime anyone needed prayers, she was the first to pray her rosary for you.  She touched my life in more ways than she ever knew and I will miss her and remember her as long as I live.  There was no one like her and she will be missed and will always be loved.
