

On February 17, 1957, the Gómez family moved to California to the Westside of San Bernardino where Pina attended the local schools and graduated from Pacific High School in 1969. After graduating from San Bernardino Valley College in June of 1976, Pina began her career as a Registered Nurse with Kaiser Hospital Fontana. In December of 1987, she continued her career at San Bernardino County Hospital (now known as Arrowhead Regional Medical Center) until her passing on Friday, November 10, 2023.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ramón "Raymond" Hernández Ventura of San Bernardino, daughter Yolanda Martinez Hamacher (Brad) of Corona, son Kalín Martinez of San Bernardino, three grandchildren: Jacob, Faith, and Matthew Hamacher, two blended families consisting of 18 step-children, 80 step-grandchildren, 65 step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-grandchild; Brothers: Luís Gómez of Desert Hot Springs, Angel Gómez of Fontana, Antolín Gómez (Cyndra) of Phelan; Sisters: Emma Lechuga (David) of Highland, Dora Melgoza (Roland) of Highland, Eva Gudino (Carlos) of San Bernardino, Maria Elena Thompson (Mike) of Alta Loma, Rosie Chavez (Frank) of Highland, and countless beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dolores "Lolíta", brothers: Carlos "Calín", Francísco "Kíko", Manuel, and late husband Fernándo "Marty" Martinez.
