Nat was born in Brooklyn, New York, the oldest of 3 sisters and 1 brother. Growing up in Brooklyn, he worshiped at Brooklyn Temple SDA Church and sang in the choir with his wonderful bass voice. He served in the US Army as a medic during the Vietnam War. When he met Judi in New York, he knew he had to move to California and marry her. Out of their 35 year love affair 32 years was as husband and wife.
Earning his first bachelor’s degree in New York, he entered the X-Ray Technology field where he worked for over 40 years. He earned his second bachelor’s degree in California for Accounting. He and Judi started a computer consulting and training company. While continuing to work at St. Bernardine’s he became the senior accountant at their company. He worked at St. Bernardine Medical Center for over 20 years and considered his colleagues a part of his family and Billy Coleman was like a brother to him. He is survived by his wife, Judi; his 3 step-children, Erik, Erika, and Michael; his 3 sisters, Dorothy, Shirley and Beverly; his brother-in-law Bobby and many nieces and nephews.
A very quiet, kind and knowledgeable man he was always willing to share and help anyone. It broke our hearts to lose Nat, but God knew that he was in pain and saw the road was getting rough. So, He closed his weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be thine – time to come home.” He will be missed, but his legacy of love, compassion and patience while helping others will live on through your efforts. Whatever you gained from knowing him, pass it on – he would want you to do that.
