Olga Guillermina Pichardo was born in Mexico D F, to Maria De Pillar and Alfredo Pichardo, on July 8, of 1948; and born again a decade ago amongst her brothers in Christ. She was blessed with seven children and was immersed in her family.
She enjoyed cooking and was extraordinary at it. She didn’t even need to measure the ingredients, she just knew by the way that it felt in the palm of her hands. Whether it was preparing tamales,, posole, albondigas, or her capirotada, nobody could make them the way she did. It was mesmerizing to watch her knead the dough, wrap the tamales, and stir the champurrado. She wanted to feel useful but never fully understood how necessary she was.
Her favorite pastimes were playing slot machines, dominoes, cards, watching novelas, listening to music and gardening. She loved getting together to play her favorite games with family. Watched every novela available on Telemundo and Univision. listened to Chello, Los Terricolas, Los Yonik’s and danced to cumbias and rock n roll. When gardening, Olga felt at peace. Nothing made her feel connected with God than when she worked in the dirt to make her plants come alive.
God entered her heart years ago and she welcomed him with open arms and asked him to stay. Cancer may have won the battle but not the war. She might have lost her temporary life but she gained an everlasting one.
Olga was blessed with a family that loved her: she is survived by her two sisters Elva and Elvira, her numerous children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Maria De Pillar and Alfredo Pichardo, along with her two older brothers Luis and Raul.
