

Robert lived in San Bernardino 83 years, and Los Angeles County 8 years. He leaves behind sons, Robert (Toni), Danny (Angie), David (Maria), and Johnny Ray, son in law Edward Cuellar; daughters, Louise Martinez (Danny) and Priscilla Jimenez (Peter); sister, Bonnie Rivera; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife Martha of 66 years; daughters, Irene Elizabeth, Nancy Arrieta, Diane Cuellar; mother Hortensia G Escarzaga (Ramon); father Susano; brother Jimmy; sisters Dorthy Flores, and Sandra Martinez.
Robert's legacy is the love for his family, and the endless hours he worked to provide for them. He had a big heart, was always there to lend a helping hand, and was a kind man with a positive outlook in life. Robert had a beautiful smile, and will always be remembered as role model on how to be a good man, hard worker, a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend.
He loved family vacations, especially the camping trips to Ensenada, Mexico, and Carpinteria State Beach. He also loved watching the LA Dodgers and Rams games. In his youth he enjoyed hunting, car races, and playing shortstop for his baseball teams. He also enjoyed music of all types, especially Spanish songs.
Robert worked for many years, which started at the age of 17 until he retired in 1993. He was a retired member of the Cement Mason Union Locals 600 & 627, which spanned for a period of 69 years. He also worked his last 20 years as a Superintendent for CL Construction Co.
Services: Friday, March 4, 2022 at Mt View Mortuary & Cemetery — 570 E Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404 — Visitation from 11 am — 1 pm & Celebration Of Life 1 pm -- 2 pm, Committal at 2:15 pm.
