

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Sanchez, of Rialto, CA announces his passing on 18 December 2020. Robert was born on August 1st, 1933. Robert is proceeded in death by his wife, Natalie Vallez Sanchez, whom he was married to for 65 years, his parents Daniel and Catalina Sanchez, 8 brothers, his son, Ronnie Sanchez and his grandson, Phillip Sandoval. He leaves behind his children, Valerie (Joe) Desjardin, Richard (Christine) Sanchez, Thomas (Sharon) Sanchez and Olga Sanchez. Robert (Bob) will be fondly remembered by his 9 grandchildren Melissa Allan, Arik Sandoval, Ronnie Sanchez Jr., Renee Lopez, Vanessa Rodriquez, Michael Sanchez, Krystal Smith, Ryan Workman and Monica Jimenez, 15 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Robert is also survived by his loving sister, Connie Sanchez, of Santa Maria, CA.
Robert worked at Kaiser Steel in his early years until giving it up to own his own restaurant in 1971 where he and his wife Natalie worked together. After quitting the restaurant business Robert went into Construction as a brick layer. He was skilled at building block walls, fireplaces and many other block structures. Robert owned a small ranch style home (Fontana, CA), where he enjoyed taking care of his horses, cows, pigs and chickens. Robert loved riding his horse. Robert was a do-it-yourself kind of man who could fix anything including his own cars. He loved to BBQ and socialize with his family in the back yard. Robert was a talented artist who loved to paint and draw. He loved playing card games with Natalie. He also loved to sing and was a good dancer.
At the age of 17, Robert G. Sanchez enlisted in the Army and was trained and qualified as a paratrooper at Fort Benning, Georgia. He received training certificates in Communications and Field Wireman, 8th Infantry Division, Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Robert received an HONORABLE DISCHARGE in 1954.
Robert will never be forgotten. Those who knew him loved him.
