Enlisted in the US Horse Calvary until they found out he was under aged. A few years later, he joined the US Navy. Trained as an Electricians Mate and assigned to the USS California to re-float it after it was sunk at Pearl Harbor. Fought many sea battles in the Pacific Ocean including Leyte Gulf. After the war he went to work for Southern California Edison in 1947. He was brought back to service on the aircraft carrier USS Leyte during the Korean War. Returning to Southern California Edison after the Korean War until retirement in 1986.
Bob married Phylis's in 1948 and remained together until she passed in 2004.
