April 24, 1944 - November 11, 2022
Willie's sun rose on April 24, 1944 in Alpine Texas. He was the youngest of Jose S. and Patrocina S. Tucker's four (4) children, Amelia, Manuel and Daniel.
Willie and his family relocated to the San Bernardino area when he was four (4) years old, and he remained here throughout his life, attending local churches and schools. He was Baptized and Confirmed within the Catholic Church.
He married Katherine Rodriguez, and together they raised three (3) children, Willie, Chris and Valerie, who have blessed them with twelve (12) grand, and thirteen (14) great grandchildren.
During his career of over fifty (50) years, he worked as a Manager with both Rain for Rent and the San Bernardino Hilton Hotel, where he was recognized as Employee of the Year, a welder with H & R Welding; and a Foundry Assistant at Monumental Bronze.
During his active leisure time he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, family outings/gatherings and vacations.
He was an avid baseball and football fan following San Bernardino's minor league baseball teams. He watched Dodger baseball, live and on television with his son, and was a tried and true Dallas Cowboys fan. He was also a lifelong "Days of Our Lives viewer. He loved "true" country music, cruising listening to 50's Rock-n-Roll Oldies, and watching the Hallmark Channel's Christmas movies.
He was a fine role model and a selfless person. He always put the needs and well-being of others before his own.
Willie's sun set on November 11, 2022 after a diagnosis of, and treatment for cancer.
He is survived by his first wife, children and extended family members and his wife of twenty-nine (29) years, Lorna.
While he is not with us physically, his light and spirit continue to shine brightly and guide throughout our lives.
