

Xavier is survived by his wife, Lorraine Aponte; his children, Brandin and Michelle Aponte, Nicolette and Brandon Caruso, Brooke and Samuel Ring, and Noah Aponte; his grandchildren Blake and Ashtyn Caruso, Ava and Rylee Ring, and Liam Aponte; his brothers and sisters, Diane Cadena, Gloria Calvillo, Michael Aponte, Gina Aponte, Tyrone Aponte, Yvonne Nunez, Virginia Jimenez, Marcus Aponte-Moya, Scott Aponte, and Matt Aponte; and numerous nieces and nephews. Xavier was preceded in death by his Father George Aponte and Mother Petra Egurrola Aponte, as well as his brother Rueben Aponte.
Xavier was a dedicated Husband, Dad, and Papa. In September 1986 he began his career with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) at the California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) in Norco, Ca, where he dedicated 29 years of his life. During his career, he promoted multiple times ultimately retiring as a Correctional Lieutenant in May 2015. Xavier was well respected and loved by his colleagues and friends alike.
Xavier loved attending his nieces and nephews sporting events, as well as occasionally coaching them. He enjoyed watching Angels and 49ers games; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a faithful man of God who loved to share the word of God with everyone he encountered. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor Monday, September 22, 2025, with a viewing starting at 10:00am, followed by a service starting at 11:00am at Colton First Assembly of God, 450 W. Citrus St., Colton, Ca 92324. Graveside Service will immediately follow at 2:00pm at Mt. View Cemetery, 570 E highland Ave San Bernardino, Ca 92404, with a Reception will follow.
