Born to Faustino and Catalina Marquez, Agripino was the eldest of six siblings—Teddy, Filo, Araceli, Mida, and Donn.
Agripino dedicated 23 years of honorable service to the United States Navy, where he served with distinction and pride. He served on the USS Forrestal, USS Constellation, USS Ranger and with various squadrons at Miramar including VF-124. Following his military retirement, he continued to serve his country for an additional 12 years as a civil servant, offering his experience and unwavering dedication to the Navy community he held dear.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Lydia, with whom he built a life rich in love, family, and shared dreams. Together, they raised three sons—Ronnie (married to Shira), Mark Anthony (married to Shivohn with children Isaac and Siena), and Ulysses (married to Amy with children Kaimana and Makoa) - who were all a source of immense joy and pride.
A man of many passions, Agripino found great happiness in introducing his sons to tennis, a game he loved dearly. He was also an avid golfer and a devoted photographer, rarely without a camera in hand to capture life’s beautiful moments. He took immense pride and put in a lot of hard work while building their own custom dream home in Escondido. Every brick laid in the backyard and every custom baluster surrounding the house was made by his hands. He created his own little golf center and patio escape where he often slept under the stars in the Summer. His sweet tooth, particularly for chocolate chip cookies, was just one of the many charming quirks that endeared him to friends and family alike.
Agripino will be remembered for the warmth of his smile, the generosity of his spirit, and the way he made every person he met feel welcome. His presence graced every gathering with kindness and good humor, and his legacy of love and service will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
