

Alex “Sasha” Toporovsky, 52, of Santee, CA, passed away on September 30, 2024. Alex was born December 18,1971. After graduating from Helix High School, he pursued his passion for art, and in 2003 launched Art 2 Walls. He was also the inventor of Jo On the Go and a versatile contractor.
A devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Alex will be remembered for his kindness, creativity, and great sense of humor. His family cherished him as “the best dad in the whole wide world” and a loving, caring partner. He treasured Sunday family days, and walks on the beach or trail hikes with friends and family.
A talented artist, surfer, and adventurer, Alex’s murals and artwork can be found in collections worldwide, including the William J. Clinton Presidential Library, Sharp Hospital Chula Vista, Mira Mesa High School, and many other prominent locations.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, children Adam and Josephine, parents Lillian and Yuri Gorelik, and brother Daniel.
A celebration of Alex’s life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00 am at Del Cerro Baptist Church, La Mesa, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to ArtReach San Diego, an organization dedicated to providing visual arts education to over 9,000 children each year. This cause reflects Alex’s lifelong passion for the arts and belief in inspiring the next generation of young artists.
