We mourn the loss of Alice Lazo, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, who passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on February 10, 1955, Alice spent most of her life in San Diego, creating a warm and vibrant home that was open to all.
Alice was known for her lively spirit and extremely caring nature. She brought immense joy to those around her, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. Her remarkable love story began with a fairytale romance when she met her beloved husband, Danny, in Italy in the 1970s—a testament to the magic and zest she brought into the world. Her love language was truly food; she was legendary for feeding everyone and making sure that no one ever left her home hungry. Her greatest delight was her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved and famously spoiled, showering them with affection and creating countless cherished memories.
Alice is survived by her devoted husband, Danny Lazo, and their three remaining cherished children: Mike Lazo, Mark Lazo and Melvin Lazo. Alice was blessed with beloved daughter-in-laws, Sheila Lazo, Joy Lazo, and Lauren Lazo. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Trinidad Tapit, and her dear siblings: Victor Tapit, Connie Tapit, Ann Tapit and Juliana Tapit. Her legacy also lives on through her adored grandchildren, Josh Delacruz, Jaiden Lazo, Luna Lazo, and Tala Lazo.
