Lived the majority of his life in San Diego, moved to heaven May 6, 2021. He had COPD and other breathing issues. Al was an engineer and worked for the State of Washington Highway Department, The County of San Diego, Vorhees & Associates, and was the Director of Public Works for the City of Santee before he retired. US Airforce Veteran. An avid boater/water skier, motorcycle rider and scuba diver, and loved camping in Baja with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters. Survived by his wife Shirley of 64+ years, 2 adult children and 4 adult grandchildren.
