Anicia Dayacap Esteybar

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anicia D. Esteybar, born on October 23, 1946, who passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 78. A truly remarkable woman, Anicia was the embodiment of strength, resilience, and love.

As a single mother, she raised her two children, Ron and Liz, with an unwavering dedication and fierce determination. Through her sacrifices and hard work, she not only provided for her family but also instilled values of perseverance, independence, and kindness. Anicia lived life on her own terms and proved time and again that she could overcome any obstacle. She was a woman who did things her way, and no matter the challenge, she never gave up.

Anicia had a heart that extended far beyond her family. She took care of everyone who came into her life, offering a listening ear, a helping hand, and a loving spirit to all who needed it. Her kindness, wisdom, and strength will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She lived a full and vibrant life, making her mark in the hearts of those around her. Her legacy of love, courage, and unshakable resolve will carry on through her children, family, and friends.

Anicia is survived by her children: Ronaldo Almario, Zenaida Roy-Almario, and Elizabeth Gil; her grandchildren, Ryan Almario and Rhys Almario; her extended grandchildren Randal and Kayla Rodriguez and Jessica Phan, as well as siblings, Norma Yuchengco, Lynn Samilo, Estalita Ventura, Leanora Dimalanta, Dante Dayacap, and Nancy Santos and their families.

A celebration of Anicia’s life will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. A visitation will take place during this time. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help cover service expenses.
