Arjen "Ben" Stirling Jager

Arjen (Ben) Jager, 70, of Henderson, Nevada, formerly 35 years in Vista, California, died last Saturday from a mountain biking accident. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and was a registered nurse. Ben Jager served as a corpsman in the Navy and received two purple hearts for his service in Vietnam. He lived for his family, was an avid adventurer. Ben loved the outdoors; hiking; surfing, camping and biking.

Survivors include his wife, of 43 years, Kelli; daughters, Stacy Schaffner of Arizona, Hillary Kanter of California; sons, Shane Jager of Nevada, Matt Jager of California and Collin Jager, of California; and is also survived by his mother, Nada Jager of Utah.

Service Information as follows:

Family Prayer at 9:00am followed by the Memorial Service, will be held on Wednesday, July 26, at 9:30 am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; located at 1545 S. Melrose Dr, Vista, California 92081.

Interment to follow at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego CA 92122, at 1pm.
