Armando Mercado Manzano, son of Guillermo and Augustina Manzano, passed away on Nov. 21, 2012 in his home in San Diego. He was born in Olongapo, Zambales, Philippines on June 16, 1926. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, was a WWII veteran and remained a civil servant of the Navy until his retirement. He is survived by his wife Irene, his children Yolanda Collins, Beatrice Manzano, Wanda Lindroos (Richard), Armanda Manzano, Donald Manzano (Dawn Marie), his grandchildren Sean Collins, Courtney Van Dusen, Laurence Van Dusen (Darlene), Renata Lindroos, and his great-grandchildren Bret Collins, Jade Van Dusen and Remy Van Dusen-Murphy. Armando was a quiet, thoughtful, generous and loving man who was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
