Barbara Anne Goodman

Barbara leaves behind her beloved husband of 59 years, Dr. Allan H. Goodman, her daughter Liz, and her son Joe and his wife, along with their four adored grandchildren, who were the great joys of her life. She is also survived by her faithful dog Chipper, whose companionship brought her daily happiness.

Born in Chicago, Barbara always spoke fondly of her childhood with her parents Barbara and Joseph, her brother Joe, and many other close family members nearby. She cherished her Hungarian heritage and her Catholic upbringing, both of which shaped her deep sense of family and faith.

Barbara pursued a career in nursing and worked at the University of Chicago, where she met Allan during his medical residency. Soon after marrying, they relocated to San Diego, where they built a beautiful life together devoted to their family and to each other.

Their deep love and sense of devotion helped carried them through life's joys and challenges, including the profound loss of two children Bob and Kathy.

Barbara's warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

But her spirit will live on in the love of her family and the many lives she touched.
