Born in China to Korean father and mother; Moon, Ki Duk and Kang, Nam Sil. Bong Sok was a caring, gentle, and dutiful son, husband, father, and brother. Bong Sok immigrated to the United States, from South Korea, in 1976, in pursuit of a better life for his family.
Bong Sok was married to wife of 53 years, Han, Kyu Ja, and raised 3 children, Phillip, Chung, and Chae. Bong Sok, put family first, always, and was a dedicated father and husband.
Bong Sok was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive husband and father who loved the Lord.
In his earlier years, Bong Sok was passionate about health and exercise. He had a exercise regiment that he followed daily, was careful about what he ate, ran 3 miles a day and loved riding his bike. Bong Sok, enjoyed listening to music and cooking Korean street food. He was a great swimmer and loved the ocean. He spent most of his retirement enjoying a little traveling, his favorite foods and spending time with his family.
Moon, Bong Sok was predeceased by father, mother and brothers and leaves behind his wife, son, 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 sisters and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Moon, Bong Sok will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 and reception to follow.
