

Brandon was born April 29, 1995 to Seng Kork Chen and Vandy Chen. He started his life in a small apartment in Escondido. He was an adorable little boy with the biggest smile.
Brandon moved to Vista and attended Breeze Hill Elementary School, Madison Middle School, and Rancho Buena Vista High School.
After high school, Brandon spent a couple years studying at MiraCosta College (2013-2015) before transferring to University of California, San Diego.
Brandon graduated from UCSD in 2019 and earned a bachelor degree of science with a major in biophysics. He was in the midst of searching for his true calling in life, with aspirations of opening his own biotech company focused on sustainability. He truly wanted to make the world a better place.
For those who knew him, Brandon illuminated their lives with his free spirit, charm, thoughtfulness, strong will, humor, and brilliance. He was treasured as a son, grandson, brother, and friend. But beyond these roles, he was a fighter. Brandon fiercely battled for life until he couldn’t, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and determination.
Throughout his life, Brandon explored various interests, including MMA, jujitsu, baking, plants, 3D printing and video games like Apex Legends. He always had extreme curiosity and a passion in learning.
At only 28 years old, Brandon's passing has left behind immense potential, unfulfilled dreams, and countless loved ones who mourn his loss.
