Brian Walton McCaskill

Brian Walton McCaskill entered into the peace of Heaven on January 7, 2025. Brian was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend. His devotion to his family, authenticity to those who knew him, and infectious laughter, left an everlasting mark on all.

Brian was born on March 23, 1973, in San Diego, California. After graduating from Helix high school, Brian served his country as a member of the United States Navy. During his time stationed in Sigonella, Sicily, he met Kristy, and the two began a journey together filled with love, fun, and many blessings.

Brian was a devoted husband to Kristy and a proud father to his two children, Birta McCaskill and Brian McCaskill Jr. His love for his family was unwavering, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Brian enjoyed sharing his life guidance with Birta and Brian Jr, and their many accomplishments brought him immense pride and joy.

Brian was the cherished son of Mary Dumas (George) and Jimmie McCaskill (Carlotta), who hold his memory close to their hearts. He also leaves behind a large circle of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Brian loved time with family, including seeing sunsets on the ocean, watching movies, and eating meals together. He enjoyed online conversations and laughter when gaming with his son and friends of many years. He was a proud cat dad of Beans and Belle (Chubby).

Brian’s strong spirit, quick wit, and genuine kindness will be missed more than words can convey. His legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family, the friendships he nurtured, and the memories that bring comfort to those who grieve his loss.

A memorial service for Brian will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121.
