Cameron Daniel Juarez
Born June 28, 1989 – July 14, 2023
Cameron was born in La Mesa California. His parents are Walter Juarez and Debbie Kissinger Echols. His Step Father is Frank Echols. He has one brother Shannon Juarez and a Step brother Nathan Echols.
Cameron was a bright child and loved the wind, bugs and playing piano. He loved going on bug hunts and his favorite to catch was red & black large ants! He would put them together and just sit and watch their behavior for hours. We thought for sure he would become a Scientist of some type! If he heard a song that he liked, he would try to convince his piano teacher to teach it to him even though it may be way above his level. She could try to explain he needed to wait until he read the notes at that level, but no…not Cameron. He had “perfect pitch”, so he was able to listen to the song over and over and eventually teach himself how to play it. And the wind…he would stand for hours at the edge of our yard in “Cottonwood” Rancho San Diego area, hold a tree branch with leaves on it and just watch the wind whip it around with a big smile on his face.
Cameron graduated high school from Steele Canyon. This is where he really began to thrive. He was such a people lover. He had so many friends and just loved hanging out and talking, playing video games all night at “land parties”. Lots of friends would stay the night and with pizza and soda supplied they could play all night! Of course pancakes the next morning and more laughing and playing.
His life always involved his friends…they were very important to him. And he had a heart of gold. There were no strangers to Cam and if they were, he would reach out to them to help in any way he could. He had suffered a lot himself during his short life here on earth and was always trying to help others who were suffering.
He became an avid champion of others rights and donated when he could to organizations that fought for peoples freedom like “Free North Korea”. He was passionate about History and thought of becoming a History teacher at one point in his life. He loved History and he could answer any question you might have in great detail. And whether you wanted all the exact details or not, he was going to tell them to you!
His love of aquariums (he had one when he was 7) led him to jobs in the pet industry. He received a letter from a customer that a mother wrote to him about how much she appreciated his help in answering their questions and then showing them what they would need to set up an aquarium at their home for her son. We were so proud of that letter. Again demonstrating his care for people and how much he liked to help them. As the years passed, he discovered that tropical fish, after taking them from their habitat, was not really something he agreed with. He was always…someone or something’s champion!
Now his light is gone, but will never really be extinguished from this earth, as long as anyone who knew him is still here, because he shined so brightly for us who loved him. And having known and loved Cameron, your life
A graveside service for Cameron will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121.
