

It is with great sadness we announce that Carleton S. Levitetz passed away on July 20,2018 at age 86. He will be remembered and missed by his wife of 41 years, Judy, and his children, son Jeffrey, daughter Debra Rosen, stepdaughter Deborah Fiegura, sister Terri Sweig [husband Alan], and his grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler Levitetz, and Rachel Rosen.
Carl graduated from the University of Michigan in 1953 and served in the US Army from 1953-55.
He was the founder and CEO of Purity Bottling Co. and Purity Brokerage, a food manufacturer. He sold the businesses in 1986 and he and Judy moved to San Diego. He was CEO of TRA Communications. He was also a licensed California yacht broker, owner of San Diego Yachts, and member of California Yacht Brokers Association. During this time, he was also a substitute teacher for the San Diego Unified School District for several years. Most recently, he was the founder and owner of WORLDWIDE Yacht Services.
He was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, holding numerous staff positions including Department Chief. He held elected positions as well, most notably District Rear Commodore.
A celebration of Carl's life will be held on Monday, July 30 at 10:00 AM at the Sorrento Valley Chapel at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego.
