Carlos Pangan Reyes

As Carlos grew older, his brother-in-law taught him the art of making dentures. This led him to establish the Reyes Dental Laboratory in his hometown of Dagupan. Carlos eventually met his wife, Marieta Aficial, and they were married on June 23, 1953, at the Catholic Church in Urdaneta, Pangasinan. Together, they raised six children—four daughters (Mercy, Daisy, Nida and Marlene) and two sons (Tommy and Noli). As a father, he worked long hours to provide for his family, eventually passing his craft and the family business down to his sons.

In 1993, Carlos migrated to the United States with his wife and eldest son, Tommy, to start a new life. Together, they continued the family tradition by establishing Rancho Penasquitos Dental Laboratory, which remains successful to this day.

As a grandfather, Carlos was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Although he resided in the U.S., he frequently visited the Philippines to stay connected with the Reyes family, near and far. Throughout the years, Carlos found his greatest happiness in his family. He was a constant ray of sunshine with an ever-present smile.

After 56 years of marriage, Carlos became a widower following Marieta's passing in 2009. Even in retirement, he remained active and supportive of the laboratory well into his 90s. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, watching sports, family time and visiting the casino.

Carlos was a hardworking and family-oriented man from beginning to end. To his family, he was a source of endless joy and will forever be remembered for his dance moves, jokes, laughter, and the "babble songs" he sang to his grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will forever be missed.

A visitation will be held at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA, 92121, on January 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The visitation will be available via live stream at https://www.viewlogies.net/el-camino-memorial/VCilk-7rg?pin=322838.

The funeral service will take place at the same location on January 29, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, with live streaming available at the same link.

Following the funeral service, a committal service will be conducted at El Camino Memorial Park, also at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA, 92121, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on January 29, 2026.
