Chancellor Isaiah Jeffries (Chance) of Escondido California passed away at the age of 34 years.
Chance suffered catastrophic and unexpected complications after a brief illness and passed away surrounded by family and friends.
He was born on July 12, 1991, in Westerville, Ohio to Lynnetta Devereaux and Chauncey Jeffries where he spent the earliest years of his life. Chancellor moved to San Diego (Scripps Ranch) California, August 1998, where he lived during elementary school through college. Chance attended Miramar Elementary School, Thurgood Marshall Middle School, and Scripps Ranch High School. He completed several years of college.
He had one sister Dominiquea Devereaux, his protector, and one brother, Chayce Jeffries, who he strived to inspire.
Chancellor will be remembered as fun-loving, full of life, amiable, kind-hearted, sophisticated, and a fact-checker. He had an outgoing personality and a homebody spirit. Chance loved sports, mainly football, basketball, and baseball; and he was a workout enthusiast. Chance enjoyed gaming and paintballing. He was particularly pleased about his outstanding ability to help deaf customers via American Sign Language.
Chance is survived by his parents Lynnetta Devereaux and Chauncey Jeffries; grandmother Virginia Jeffries, of special mention due to their very close loving relationship; aunt and uncle, Pamela and Fonda Williams, who were somewhat of a second set of parents to him; aunt, Loretta Lee, and close cousins, namely, Nissan Lee, Michael Kirksey, and Benjamin Kirksey, because of their particularly close relationship; a stepbrother Nathin Jeter with whom he had a forever bond; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Chance will be laid to rest in Canton, Ohio after his celebration of life.
