

Curtis, son of Jyuichi and Mariko Sato, brother of Joy Mari Sato, significant other to Laura McColley and her children, Nicholas and Milo, best friends with Irad Endelman (Denise), a cousin to many living in Chula Vista, Coronado, San Diego, Los Angeles, Japan, Florida, Portland, England, Temecula, Boise Idaho, and Hawaii. Curtis attended Hazel Goes Cook Elementary, Hilltop Junior High School and Hilltop High School. He trained in Horticultural work , Brake Mechanic and Machinist work. In the early 70s he worked at UCSD Medical Ctr in downtown San Diego, worked at the City of La Mesa in the Road Maintenance Department and the last employment was at the Custer County Road and Bridge Department in Westcliffe, Colorado. Some of the Highlights of his life is he loved children and was a big part of Jenny Zein’s life as he encouraged her to pursue her Opera singing career. Also, he has been like a father to Nicholas and Milo, Laura’s McColley’s children. Curtis loved riding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, enjoyed photography in nature, especially photographing shots of the Moon, drawing, and being out in the mountains or being near the ocean. Curtis, also had the time of his life as he had the opportunity to go to Italy. On October 25th 2025 at 11pm, Curtis began his journey onward, and he shared through his heart these words: “Love heals, Love surround us, Love is truly what we are made of, Love is walking by Faith, Love carries me Home to be with my Lord”.
