She was born on December 31, 1957, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, to the late Robert Dodds and Evon Dodds. Deborah grew up in Cuba City, Wisconsin. She developed a career in nursing, transitioning into healthcare administration in Madison, Wisconsin, which she continued for many years after her move to San Diego, California, in 2005.
Deborah was foremost a loving, caring advocate for the development and well-being of her family, touching the lives of many generations. She had a deep love for spending time with her children and grandchildren during gatherings and the holidays. She was the best, silliest, most loving ‘Grandma’ and shared a connection with her grandchildren comparable to none. She was always her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest fan, dropping anything to support them no matter what. She loved to read and learn, crochet gifts, and share in humor. Her spirit was curious, creative, compassionate, and persevering.
Deborah is survived by her beloved husband of 19 years, Robert Nadler; their four children: Alison Nadler Guerette (Phillip Guerette), Kristina Stewart Bonello (Christian Bonello), Dana Nadler (Anna Nadler), and Sean Stewart; as well as six cherished grandchildren (Celia, Lena, Evie, Theo, Grant, Arlo). She is also survived by her five siblings: Roger (Sharon) Dodds, Dianne (Curt) Axen, Tim (Jean) Dodds, Randy Dodds, and Lisa (Jeff) Arndt; alongside many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janet Schmieder.
Deborah’s presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
