Scott Hurst died early Friday, October 29, while challenging the track at Grossmont College. He was born April 27, 1953 at San Diego Naval Hospital. Scott was a lifelong athlete and competitive runner starting at Patrick Henry High School and continuing to his death. He graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Computer Science and retired as a senior computer analyst working on simulator operations at North Island Naval Air Station. Scott is survived by his loving parents, Don Hurst and Faye Hurst, forever heartbroken. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend, Roger Cornwell; ex-wife Elena Cervantes; loving cousins and friends.
