Evangeline Teresa Valletta-Schaus

Evangeline Teresa Valletta-Schaus, 86, of San Diego, California,

formerly of Boston, Massachusetts, died peacefully on November

11, 201 3. Born November 22, 1926 in Boston, Massachusetts, she

is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Maria Dejesus, her

husband of 46 years, Vincent J. Valletta, grandson Jacob Jefford,

sister Mary Cordeiro and second husband Alfred Schaus.

Evangeline (known as "Angie" by her family) was married to Vincent

on February 28, 1945 until his death. She remarried Alfred Schaus

January 1999. She was also a homemaker and mother of six

children. Ann is survived by her children, Frank, Robert, David,

Vincent, and James Valletta all from San Diego and Marianne Jefford

of Mesquite, Nevada. Grandchildren Tamara Valletta, Christi

Valletta, Darrin Valletta, Damion Valletta, Amber Valletta, Trina

Reyes, Vanessa Valletta, Terry Casey, Amanda Quintero, Melissa

Gorman, Devin Valletta, Jason Valletta, and Robert Parks-Valletta

and 14 great grand-children, also two brothers Frank, Joe and

sisters Bea and Bella, with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann was deeply loved by all who knew her. She leaves this life

having been a good friend and devoted Mother, Sister, Grandmother

and wonderful Mother-in-law. She will be greatly missed and

remembered. The Valletta family wishes to extend their gratitude to

Angels on Guard (Amelia, Sylvia) also The Elizabeth Hospice for

their support in her final days.

Memorial Mass will be conducted at 11 :00 AM Friday, November 15

at Immaculata Parish located on the campus of the University of San

Diego, 5998 Alcala Park, San Diego.
