It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Farrokh (Fred) Farivar, who passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2023 in San Diego, CA at age 76. Farrokh was born on April 21, 1947 in Tehran-Iran to Bala Farivar and Masoomeh Koohbor. He attended early education at Pishro and Fargam high schools in Tehran and pursued career in sales and marketing in the auto industry. He married Parvin Manoochehri in 1980 and they later immigrated to the United States in 1985. Farrokh resided in Menlo Park, CA for 35 years and continued his career in auto sales.
Farrokh and his wife moved to San Diego 4 years ago after retirement to be near family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Faramarz and Fariborz Farivar of Tehran, Iran; He is survived by his wife, Parvin of San Diego, CA, and sisters, Faridokht Farivar of Tehran, Iran; Firoozeh Farhang of Bellevue, WA; brothers, Farzan Farivar of Leavenworth, WA; Farhad Farivar of Oak Ridge, TN and Farman Farivar of Tehran, Iran. The family would also like to acknowledge Farrokh’s aunt, Farideh Kavesh of Tehran, Iran; cousins, Ommid and Hooman Asbaghi of San Diego, CA.
