Mr. Guillermo G. Garcia Sr.

Guillermo G. Garcia was born on October 6, 1923 in Arenal, Jalisco, Mexico. After a long battle with cancer, he passed away on September 1, 2008 in Anaheim, California. Guillermo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a bartender by profession for most of his life. He also enjoyed coaching youth sports, he did so at Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Patrick's Parochial Schools in San Diego, CA.He is survived by his sons, Guillermo "Memo" Garcia of Anaheim, CA. and Robert Granados of San Diego, Ca; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren two sisters and five brothers. Ascencion M. Garcia our mom, his loving wife passed away on November 18, 2007. Please visit her memorial site. His daughter, Socorro Adock of Spring Valley, CA joined them in eternal rest on November 13, 2010. Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 6 to 8p.m. at Goodbody Mortuary. The Rosary was recited by Deacon Richard Hardick, OSA from St. Augustine High School. The Funeral Mass was held at 9:30a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Santa Sophia Catholic Church in Spring Valley, CA. The Rev. Richard Brown, SJ presided. Interment followed after the Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in San Diego.Donations: Have Mass said in Guillermo's name.
