Howard J. Waldman, Age 71, a beloved figure of San Diego, sadly left out world on February 10, 2025, after a life richly lived in service and kindness. Known for helping friends and neighbors with medical advice and generosity, Howard was a giving member in our community, touching the lives of our family, friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by his wife Nancy Vasquez, his stepson Adam Vasquez, granddaughter Bella Vasquez, and brother Steve Waldman.
Howard was born in Kansas City Missouri, to Dave Waldman and Tillie Swade, Waldman. He lived and worked in Leawood, Kansas until retiring to San Diego in 2014. He graduated from UMKC majoring in geosciences. He attended medical school with internships at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Howard was a loving husband, stepfather and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all.
