It is with great sadness that the family of Inacinho Soares announce his passing. Survived by Sera Soares and Samanda DaCosta and his grandchildren Alexis, Brennan and Katryna. Father to deceased Statham Soares.
For those that were blessed to have Inacinho Soares in their life, they knew him by the nickname "Sandy." Sandy was born in Zambeze, Mozambique. He married his beloved Sera Soares in Zanzibar, Tanzania on September 3, 1960 and raised a beautiful family, with daughter, Samanda, and son, Statham. Both Sandy and Sera identified an opportunity and moved their family to the U.S.A in efforts to provide more for their children. Through great sacrifice, indominable spirit, and faith, both Sandy and Sera succeed in their mission to provide a better opportunity for their children and grandchildren. Still rooted in Goan culture, they routinely attended GOA events. They eventually retired in Nevada where the climate was beneficial to their health. In the last year of his life, they moved in with their daughter, Samanda, in California to be surrounded by the love of their daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and friends.
Sandy was known to be an intelligent, kind and gentle human being. He was always willing to give and never expected to receive. He loved sports, soccer, hockey, football, dancing, card games, listening to music, reading and watching the news. His memory was one of a kind when it came to history. He had a knack for languages and loved to share history, especially about Goa and East Africa. Above all, Sandy was a God-fearing family man. He fiercely loved his wife, children, and grandchildren and led by example with his faith in God. He further exemplified how to be a loving husband, dad, grandpa, friend, and neighbor, that his grandchildren strive to emulate. Sandy's smile is like the sun, it illuminates darkness and brings warmth to any situation. He will forever be missed, but lives on in his daughter and grandchildren.
