On the eve of August 4, 2013, James V. Jasper, at age 79, passed peacefully from this world. He will be dearly missed by his companion of 38 years, Mary Johnson along with his many friends in both Phoenix and San Diego. He is survived by cousins Carole Rogers, Judy Cox and Diane Aurelio. He was predeceased by parents Virgil and Alice Lee Jasper. Jim was an accomplished tennis and bridge player. As a career architect he designed commercial buildings, including some at Northern Arizona University, as well as luxury homes. He served in the Arizona National Guard and was an alumni of University of Illinois. He will be remembered as an intelligent and kind man with a quirky sense of humor.
